项目位于佘山脚下，是一座深达80米的废弃大坑，该深坑原系采石场，经过几十年的采石，形成一个周长千米、深百米的深坑。酒店高度约70米，共19层，分为坑外和坑内两部分，坑外为3层，坑内16层，其中有2层在水下，包含酒店客房、会议、餐饮层。

深坑酒店是世界海拔最低的酒店，也是世界上首个建设于坑内的五星级酒店。是天然室内花园、大型景观瀑布、景观总统房、水中情景房等合为一体的现代化特色建筑。酒店内有水下情景套房、与崖壁的自然资源融合定制的空中花园、从相同高度的悬崖上垂挂而下的壮观瀑布、搭积木一样建造的钢结构抗9级地震建筑等等亮点，每一处建筑都会呈现出独一无二的建筑和景观奇迹。
